they are (not) all that

Once upon a time, there were two girls who became best friends in college. Their faces were sort of alike and people often thought them as siblings. Both have long hair, chubby cheek, big belly. But the other was shorter and actually a year older.

Then the older started a diet program and become much slimmer than the other one. The other one was happy for her friend, at first. Until her friend feel that she is all that. Thinking now that she was so pretty she has became a new attraction for men in the university. She laughed at all those men that were never realized she ever existed. She started to date few men and naturally forget about her friend.

When people have drastic changes in their life, often they flaunting it. They start to feel that they are all that. And underestimate other people that shared the previous condition. This kind of people feel that they have successfully managed their life, control their lust over something, their will is strong to get what their want. And therefore they see the others as a weak people. Have no strong will, easy fall to something that they actually could prevent.

But, I think the main reason was because the successful one feels these failed people remind him or her of what they have been for all their life. The neglected one, the uncountable, the rejected, and so on… He or she once in that position, they hate their old life and therefore they keep tormenting these people including their old friends…

I also think is kinda sad that they choose to behave badly to the people that have been very supportive in the first place… And since they choose to erase their past including their friends… then maybe they are not worth to be our friends at all… After all, she or he is not all that…

  1. For those friends who feel forgotten, no need to feel ignored. A friend is someone who's there by you when you're either up and down. But someone who forgets you when they're high, they may not be a good friend for you.

so true. Like I said, these people feel embarrassed with their past and therefore choose to ignore their old friends...
    So sad and silly....
