Thank you....

When my mom falling ill two years ago her doctor decided that she should talk with a psychiatrist.

None of us from the family rejected the idea as at that time my Mom seems forget almost about everything. We decided that it will be good if she have someone that she can talk to ease her mind.

Usually, people against talking with psychiatrist as the first thing comes to mind is this person must be crazy or out of their mind. People are tends to embarrassed if a member of their family is find out by other people talking to psychiatrist.

At first my Mom feel reluctant talked to the psychiatrist. Like other people, she did not use to speak about everything with stranger… But the psychiatrist really knows how to make her feel comfort and soon enough she has become his regular patient. He really listens and always give her support in dealing with her illness. In that same year, my father has an accident and also admitted to the hospital. Because he feel agitated and restless as if something bugging him but have no idea what is all about…, he also being refer to the same psychiatrist. So now, both of my parents became his patient and often they come together in one session to consult both of their problems.

Then in the year 2009, the psychiatrist got stroke and for a while, my parents were being handled by another doctor. After his illness, the psychiatrist surprisingly back to his job and therefore my parents were back to become his patients again. But my parents said due to his illness, the psychiatrist was unable to talk properly and they could not understand a few words from him.

Soon enough, he was becoming a lot better and able to speak clearly. But the effect from his illness made his psychical body becoming so thin and suddenly he look so much older…

Then last month we heard that again he was ill and admitted to another hospital. And today when we were in the hospital for my mom’s regular check up…we read an announcement informing that the good psychiatrist has passed away in the age of 71 on 04 August 2010 around 10 PM

It was shocking for all of us to read that announcement… It turn out he was a few younger than my parents (my mom is now 72 while my dad is 74)… But due to his illness he looks so much older… And when we think that he has recovered…it turn out he has not. I suppose listening to all the craps that his patients shared with him also not helping with the recovery of his condition…

Dear sir, I hope you do rest in peace and many thanks for your help to both of my parents… My parents said that you once told them how people underestimate the value of psychiatrist but we know you have been more than helpful…

Thank you …

Dokter semacam itu udah jarang ya.. Mau mendengarkan keluhan dan pertanyaan pasien. Sekarang di rumah sakit, pasien bahkan kadang harus berebut waktu dengan sales obat..
